Our focus is on two fields of work (emergencies and health) in Canada and around the world four key priorities (readiness response and recovery; preparedness and risk reduction; advancing reconciliation; and digital transformation) and eight areas of expertise (direct assistance training and education volunteerism philanthropy capacity strengthening influencing humanitarian action research in action and granting). Canadian Red Cross (CRC) balanced operations post-COVID to maintain surge capacity while continuing day-to-day operations in Emergencies and Health. Domestically 81 000+ people received comfort and care important information and financial assistance depending on the circumstance after an emergency. More than $44 million was distributed by CRC to people affected by a disaster in Canada. The Health Equipment Loan Program provided 303 000+ pieces of equipment to help people remain in their homes as they recover from an injury or nearing end of life. Teams also made 59 000+ Friendly Calls to people in need of emotional support. Together with our training partners 869 000+ people were trained in First Aid and CPR. Our trainings also included a module on opioid poisoning and proper use of a naloxone kit. CRC also provided assistance to refugees migrants asylum seekers and those arriving from areas of conflict such as Ukraine. The CRC Help Desk supported 326 Indigenous communities and organizations and 2 000+ participants across 52 communities nationwide received Indigenous Swimming and Water Safety training. Internationally CRC provided $52 million in financial contributions to global Red Cross Red Crescent efforts. We deployed 79 humanitarian experts to 27 countries and also operated 39 programs
