The Canadian Celiac Association (Manitoba Chapter) promotes the awareness of Celiac Disease through public events to provide information to people affected by Celiac Disease and gluten intolerance. We produce a newsletter 4 times per year and maintain a website with information of interest to supporters and non-supporters with Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance. We hold General Meetings with presenters on different topics for information and education about Celiac Disease and related topics. We provide an introduction to the Gluten Free lifestyle in a GF101 style class to assist the newly diagnosed by providing information awareness to resources and practical tips. In 2024 the Chapter held General Meetings and GF101 awareness classes in person and using ZOOM in order to safely promote topics of interest to those affected by Celiac Disease and intolerance. This allowed for people to meet in person while allowing for increased access of the presentations to supporters of the association outside of Winnipeg Manitoba that may not have been able to attend in person due to the distance.
