In collaboration with halton district school board and halton catholic district school board provided cultural education for all grades. - cultural performances and presentations at local seniors' residences - provided various events and opportunities across halton region to promote and celebrate caribbean culture and history during black history month and around emancipation day. - ccah summer day camp welcomed 40 children and youth ages 6 to 11 for 8 weeks of teachings by indigenous edlers and local black historians and weekly outdoor excursions across halton region. - leaders in training program in partnership with halton regional police services provided leadership skills development opportunity for youth who have aged out of summer camp featured two sessions in july and august with 35 youth participating. Topics addressed life skills cultural identity career guidance civic engagement and mentorship. - belonging and racial identity in halton report (teacher resource). Teacher resource summarizing findings from the 2022 belonging report and accompanied by videos. - ccah documentary program. Legacy voices 2: new generatioin (2023) showcased conversation with four individuals as they discuss their experiences of living in halton region leaving a legacy for children so that others may follow. This a follow-up to the award-winning documentary legacy voices. Halton region school program. Ccah engaged with 7766 students from across 25 schools in halton region providing opportunity for students to participate in educational and culturally rich programs. - as part of treaty day celebrations ccah steel band performance in partnership with the mississaugas of the credit first nation reserve. - interfaith harmony program.
