The Calgary Society of Community Opportunities

Csco has a core program committed to empowering and supporting adults with diverse needs in fostering community & building a range of skills. Based on the goals and interest of the participants they can join on-site interest groups or go on outings in the community. The interests groups on-site include learning life skills such as things to do on your own getting along with others and taking care of self. These activities can be for example cooking computer and crafts. Outings in the community include walks to the library voluteering art a variety of sports vocational and social time. This year csco has started an 8 week pre-employment program. Participants will learn both in class and work format about professional coommunication workplace expectations conflict resolution food safety and job selection skills.
