The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto Foundation

The foundation funds awards to canadian artists and artisans who demonstrate excellence in their artistic field. The foundation wors with partner organizations to select recipients and present the awards. Nine ongoing award programs and projects are: robert beardsley young playwrights award jack gilbert ryerson image arts award (photography); ina gilbert visual arts award; royal conservatory of music/glenn gould school music scholarship; charter women's award (vocal music aspect of musical theatre); raymond walters visual arts award (landscape painting); architectural conservation award; al gilbert photography award; and poetry award. The foundation merged two existing programs - jack gilbert ryerson image arts award (photography) and al gilbert photography award - into a single award now known as the gilbert family image arts award (photography).
