The Suicide Prevention Community Council of Hamilton (SPCCH) provides hope (prevention) help (intervention) and healing (postvention) through various programs in our community. We collaborate with the Mental Health Commission of Canada to deliver the Roots of Hope Suicide Prevention and Life Promotion program. There are five pillar projects including training and education (Living Works START safeTALK training ASIST training community training and webinars) means safety (creating safer homes and infrastructure safety) Research to advance priorities (Men's Mental Health Mental Health apps) Specialized supports (postvention support services for individuals and families who have experience loss by suicide) and public awareness and life promotion (promotion of suicide crisis line 9-8-8 Be Safe app for Hamilton providing crisis and mental health resources community wellness webinars)
