South-West Senior'S Outreach Society

South west seniors outreach society continues to serve our community by providing weekly hot catered lunceon followed by live entertainment and dancing. We have a dedicated group of 36 members participating in the choir. The choir is led by a professional director and pianst. The choir travels and provides concerts to seniors lodges. They visit 7 seniors lodges doing concerts three times peryear. They meet once per week to rehearse. Another activity we offer is essentrics which is an exercise program that improves mobility and flexibility with dynamic stretching and strengthening. This is held once per week. We have a group of about 12-14 creative stitchers who meet once per week to share and learn new techniques. The lending library is also very popular. Our out of town bus trips to see matinee plays remain a highlight. We hire motor coaches to travel there and back. We offered two new programs this year. A wiseman coffee group is held once per week for gentlement to get together and discuss topics of interest to everyone. We also offered dancing classes to interested individuals. /this was held over a four week period.
