Promote the humane treatment of animals and help raise awareness of the human-animal bond through education and prevention programs. Develop resources to help both animals and human victims of violence and abuse. Provide pet care kits to domestic violence shelters that can accommodate pets staying with their owner at the shelter. Work with stakeholders from across Saskatchewan to strengthen animal protection legislation relating to homeless animals. Provide assistance with the cost of pet care through a provincial pet food bank. Help police dogs enjoy a healthy retirement.
