QUEST - Quality Urban Energy Systems of Tomorrow/QUEST - Systèmes d'énergie de qualité pour les villes de demain

During the year QUEST advanced its charitable purpose of supporting sustainable community energy planning and Canada’s net-zero transition. Ongoing programs: The Western Net-Zero Communities Accelerator (W-NCA) helped communities develop energy and emissions plans; Partnering for Indigenous Clean Energy Capacity (PICEC) built Indigenous leadership in clean energy planning; the Low-Carbon Energy Innovation (LCEI) program advanced research and collaboration on low-carbon technologies; and the Energy Transition Policy Program (ETPP) convened policy dialogues to address regulatory barriers. New/expanded programs: The Pan-Atlantic Net-Zero Accelerator (A-NCA) launched in 2024 with 15 communities and Mobilising Net-Zero in Rural and Remote Communities (MNZA) began engaging rural areas to ensure equitable participation in the transition. All programs focus on capacity building knowledge sharing and community-led solutions that reduce emissions and strengthen local resilience.
