About Jewish Seniors Alliance of British Columbia Society
Through our outreach program we host at no charge a speaker's series and two annual forums addressing topics of interest to seniors. We publish and distribute the senior line magazine two times a year a free magazine with information regarding issues pertaining to seniors in the greater vancouver area and outlying areas. The jsa advocacy committee's mission is to advocate for policies programs and initiatives that address the unique needs and challenges faced by all seniors. The committee seeks to influence public policy promote equitable access to services and ensure that the voices of seniors are heard and respected in all relevant forums. The jewish seniors alliance senior peer support services is dedicated to enhancing the lives of adults aged 55 and older through compassionate and effective friendly visiting/phone callls and emotional support. It is estimated that approximately 245 volunteers have donated approximately 14025 hours to the organization over the fiscal year in question.
