To protect animals by offering food and shelter to those animals in need; provide for the humane care and treatment of all animals coming into possession of the local society develop and promote through education and public awareness humane treatment of animals in all situations to communicate with other local societies on areas such as humane education programming and all areas pertinent to humane practices in the case of animals coming into possession of the local society to prevent cruelty to animals by offering to feed and shelter animals in need and by seeking assistance of the appropriate law enforcement agencies.
