Gander Boys and Girls Club

After-school program provided a safe and supportive environment for children and youth offering homework help physical activities and healthy snacks. Delivered by staff and volunteers serving approximately 60 children per week. Summer camp program a multi-week camp offering recreational activities leadership development and educational workshops. Engaged 55children and was supported by 11 staff contributing approximately 330 hours. Youth leadership and mentorship provided leadership training and mentorship to youth aged 13 & up helping them develop confidence teamwork skills and career readiness. Included workshops guest speakers and community service projects.food security initiatives. Offered healthy meals/snacks to program participants ensuring children and youth had access to nutritious food. Partnered with local organizations to provide additional food support where needed.mental health and wellness initiative launched a pilot program focusing on mental health awareness and resilience-building for youth. Included workshops facilitated by professionals and peer-support discussions. Served 15 youth with positive feedback and plans for expansion. The learn on program is a academic support initiative designed to assist youth aged 13 to 18. Its primary goal is to address systemic inequities in education enhance academic opportunities and support youth as they transition into adulthood. The discovery lab is an interactive program to engage children aged 8 to 11 in science concepts through hands-on experiments. This 8-wwek curriculem connects science to real-world contexts aiming to increase participants' understanding of scientific approaches and foster problem-solving skills. The program covers a range of science areas helping young people discover potential career opportunities in stem fields
