Our vision is for a prosperous and inclusive society that supports individuals families and communities. With a particular emphasis on advancing the community sector’s role capacity and impact especially in community building and economic diversification csc nl operates through five pillars: 1. Building knowledge sharing information and articulating policy 2. Strengthening organizational capacity and development 3. Fostering volunteerism cultivating leadership 4. Convening connecting nurturing thought leadership and new thinking 5. Designing and delivering innovative projects and services. Csc nl’s programs and activities focus on addressing poverty youth and student engagement community leadership and volunteer development and organizational capacity building through multi-sector collaboration. Csc nl believes that the community sector is central to economic progress. Social enterprise through acquisition (seta) is a transformative initiative aimed at preserving businesses in rural newfoundland and labrador while creating opportunities for revenue diversification in the community sector. Seta helps to facilitate the transformation of vital local private businesses in newfoundland and labrador into sustainable social purpose organizations (spos) to strengthen local economies and ensure the continuity of essential community services.
