Facilitate the operation of school and community-based nourishment progams including 398 sites and involving over 55 000 children and youth throughout manitoba especially in areas of vulnerable populations; - review annual applications from schools and community-based organizations and make recommendations on the amount of grant for each applicat; - promote best practices for school meal and snack programs through dissemination of resources newsletters annual training and annual site visits. - raise awareness of food security issues and provide opportunities for nutrition education for school children and youth and their families through nutrition resources and workshops.
