Central vancouver island job opportunities buliding society (cvijobs) continues to maintain and operate an employment services centre for unemployed and under employed job seekers in the surrounding communities. These services include career decision making skills development preparation for job search and employment maintenance and supports. The organization continues to crreate and maintain relationships with employers and community partners to better link jobs seekers and services with their need. Staff research compile maintain and shae labour market information with job seekers employers and community partners. They also identify service gaps/opportunities in the surrounding communities to develop and/or partner in the delivery of employment training and educational programs. Cvijobs also continues to host the tutoring program and trains volunteers to work one on one with those in need of literacy and numeracy skills. Cvijobs obtained funding to deliver one offering of the bladerunners program an award winning provincial program aimed at youth aged 16 to 30 obtain work skills. Cvijobs also obtained funding to deliver an offering of a program we called pathways to trades aimed at yourh aged 16 to 30 to obtain work skills.
