In addition to providing funding support to wildlife conservation work by the federation the canadian wildlife foundation provides post secondary scholarships for students in wildlife related fields. These include the: - orville erickson memorial scholarship fund - captain richard lloyd memorial fund - past president's memorial trust fund - neil mauer memorial forest fund - francis elizabeth hilder scholarship fund the foundation has also begun to develop social enterprises based on sound conservation initiatives that will generate revenue. Profits will be re-invested in future conservation work. During 2024 a new scholarship was established the indigenous manitoba wildlife fellowship fund. The first scholarship from this new program will be awarded in 2025. The foundation is also working with the federation to create a social enterprise based in atlantic canada to lease or sell ropeless fishing gear to lobster and crab fishers. Revenues from the business will be re-invested in cwf conservation programs. This initiative will be launched in late 2024.
