Tourette ottawa connection has as a goal to support individuals and families affected by tourette syndrome. As such they raise funds so that they can educate the community at large. They have a fundraiser during the summer at frank’s catering and baked goods whereby '…' and his staff sell his world famous sandwiches and where they also hold a silent auction they sell food and drinks at two baseball tournaments in the summer and they solicit via the internet. With 100% of the funds raised they purchase print ads on oc transpo buses. This is a costly project but they are able to raise funds to do so. They also received $10 000 grant from the senators foundation to help pay for this worthy initiative. They host monthly support group meetings at the royal ottawa hospital. They have an annual summer pool party and christmas party for the community to come together and learn more about others challenged in a similar way. They offer free in-service presentations to schools from kingston to montreal on tourette syndrome. They also do so for workplace environments as well.
