Bread and beyond is a community-based organization which works to connect local communities with shelters working with people in a homeless transient or vulnerable situation in montreal. Through a network of volunteers the organization makes and delivers a reliable supply of sandwiches to 8 shelters in montreal. The organization uses this pathway to organize monthly 'beyond' campaigns which aim to collect donations ofessential items to deliver with the sandwiches. Guidance is taken from the shelters to ensure to respond to the client's current needs. The organization uses this platform to inform and educate to allow people to explore and challenge the stigma disconnection misunderstanding and negative attitudes seen so frequently directed towards people experiencing homelessness.
