Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Victoria Capital Region offers 4 different mentoring programs developed in response to identified social issues or challenges impacting local children and families. We have established mentoring support in 14 municipalities on Southern Vancouver Island inclusive of Sooke Salt Spring Island and the Comox Valley. On an annual basis we work with over 700 children and youth and 400 volunteer mentors supporting 1:1 mentoring relationships which empower youth enhancing their sense of belonging self-worth and resiliency and ultimately supporting our communities' most vulnerable in reaching their full potential. Current programs include Community Mentoring In-school Mentoring B You: Healthy Bodies Healthy Minds and Big Steps 2 Success.
