Bc Society for the Museum of Original Costume

During 2024 the society continuted to collect historical clothing textiles related artifacts and archival materials. The society held three historical fashion shows & lectures during the year. And it continued to explore locations for a permanent museum. In 2024 the society was awarded a $250 000 grant from the canadian museum of history to develop and produce an online exhibition with a multifaceted exploration of fashion's history and connections to the societal and technological transformations that have occurred over time. This is a multi year project which will continue in to 2025 and 2026. In 2024 the society substantially completed 'phase i - production plan' of this project.
