Anglican Synod of the Diocese of British Columbia

The diocese provides oversight and administrative pastoral and program support to the 45 parishes of the diocese on vancouver island and gulf islands. We provide assistance and grants to support churches in remote locations to parishes encountering setbacks and other charitable work. This is done through direct grants and grants to our provincial adn national churche bodies. We provide pastoral support to students at the university of victoria. We work with first nations towards reconciliation and healing of wounds from the residential schools and assist with language revitalization. We assist in settlement of refugees in conjuction with parishes and the wdier community by sponsoring refugee families through canada immigration. We provide programs of spiritual formation and education for adults and youth.
