About Air Cadet League of Canada Ontario Provincial Committee
Administer in partnership with the department of national defence under an mou and the air cadet league of canada (ontario provincial committee) a squadron for youth fostering the development of citizenship leadership & life skills around an interest in aviation to youths 12 to 18years of age. During the school year young women & men of the squadron participate in local training through a program developed with guidelines established by the department of national defence. During summer months cadets have the opportunity to attend a variety of summer courses usually hosted at military bases across the country and range in length from 2 to 7 weeks. Summer courses include training in the following areas: general survival instructor leadership technical aviation band glider and aeroplane pilot licences international exchange among many others. Cadets also participate in and support various civic activities in their communities such as royal canadian legion-branch 52 poppy drive remembrance day canada day and other civic activities.
