A Way Home: Working Together to End Youth Homelessness

#1 - To relieve poverty specifically youth homelessness by contributing to government policies and engaging in non-partisan advocacy in matters relating to youth homelessness. #2 - To advance education by conducting and supporting research into youth homelessness and its prevention and disseminating the results of such research to the public and the community stakeholders to promote the broader application of research findings. #3 - In furtherance of the above noted objects to advance education and promote excellence and efficiencies in the delivery of interventions addressing and preventing youth homelessness by coaching and training organizations to equip them with knowledge and resources #4 - In furtherance of the above noted objects to relieve poverty specifically youth homelessness by providing cross-institutional planning support and by developing training programs to align efforts of various stakeholders including governments communities school boards and other relevant organizations. #5 - To receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to charitable organizations that are 'qualified donees' under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Activities: • Contributing to government policies and engaging in non-partisan advocacy • Conducting and supporting research • Testing models of prevention of youth homelessness • Attending and presenting at conferences and events • Hosting the National Learning Community • National Learning Community Conference • Providing training and technical assistance • Community-based systems planning work
