advance the cultural knowledge and understanding of Buddhism by promoting social harmony, facilitating the public dissemination and interchange of ideas and information concerning the practice of Buddhism in general; promote the public discussion of developments and history of Buddhism to matters of common interest in practice by the WPR and others in the general public; provide public educational information through website, radio broadcasting, television ,broadcasting and other public activities through the conduct of seminars, conferences and other meetings; facilitate the preparation, production and circulation of newsletters and publications in both printed and electronic formats to further any of the above objects or the interests of the WPR and Buddhism; liaise, associate, affiliate and share knowledge with other religious group and the general public interested in advancing the knowledge and understanding of Buddhism; promote vegetarian culture to the public of different cultural backgrounds to develop and cultivate the Buddhist philosophy of compassion (abstention from killing), advance the public's understanding of Buddhist culture and knowledge, and foster interreligious harmony Human resources
