Waddi Housing and Advancement Corporation Ltd (WHAC) provides culturally appropriate community, social and housing support services with Darlington Point, NSW. (Population Est 1145). The objectives of Waddi Housing and Advancement Corporation are to provide: Adequate Long Term Housing Opportunities Access to community services including health, art, fitness and medical services Education and enhancement of the local culture within the communityThe Corporation maintains 26 housing properties that house local Aboriginal and Indigenous families. Our goal is to enhance and build local culture and pride. Our Mission is to provide Aboriginal and Indigenous community and providing services to enhance health, connection and growth for the existing and future generations. We will nurture existing partnerships and develop new alliances to provide new homes, improve existing homes, promote sustainable communities and support economic and social wellbeing. Through 2023/24 Waddi Housing and Advancement Corporation helped achieve its overall mission and main aims by: continually improving housing living standards and providing lower affordable rents working Aboriginal Medical Service providing an office for the disadvantaged to be able to email or get help with Service NSW/Centrelink or banking Contacted disadvantaged families and Elders to ensure wellbeing and company for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community. Was successful in receiving funding to build Elderly Units for the Aging Aboriginal Community
