From everyday breakdowns to larger activations with the Water Police conducting search and rescue missions for missing vessels and crew. These rescues operate from Percy Island group in the south, north to the Goldsmith group and east to the GBR. VMR448 has the responsibility of looking after an area in excess of 6000 square nautical miles.
