Uppalavannarama Bhikkhunupassaya Kappiya Association Incorporated

Uppalavannarama Bhikkhunupassaya Kappiya Association was founded in 2023 out of the intention of individuals in the Sydney Buddhist lay community to support an urban bhikkhuni residence (nuns residence) for the practice and study of early Buddhism and Vinayabased practice. The Uppalavannarama Committee has been in regular contact with local communities, providing spiritual support, guidance and we have also held several events for the Buddhist community over the last year which have promoted women in Buddhism.
