We support our members by providing community involvement, academic support, advocacy to governing bodies, and support for member wellbeing. Community services include an annual revue, social events, publications, social media accounts, and ten sporting teams. Wider community involvement is also promoted, such as blood donation drives and events for health literacy. Education takes the form of exam practise sessions, clinical skills simulation, and forums on different medical careers and pathways. Advocacy includes liaison with the Australian Medical Students' Association, the New South Wales Medical Students' Council, the University of Newcastle, the International Students Network, and the Australian Indigenous Doctors Association. Wellbeing programs include free breakfasts, guides to local community support, campaigns for the promotion of mental health, elected support officers, and specific networks for students within minority or atrisk groups.
