United Nations Association of Australia Northern Territory (UNAANT) Inc

The United Nations Association of Australia Northern Territory Division (UNAA NT) advances its mission of promoting the values, principles, and objectives of the United Nations by engaging the Northern Territory community in global citizenship, education, and international cooperation. During the year, UNAA NT delivered a range of activities that strengthened public understanding of the United Nations and its role in addressing global challenges. The organisation hosted public forums, panel discussions, and community events that connected local perspectives with global issues such as sustainable development, peace and security, and international cooperation. These activities created opportunities for Territorians to engage with diplomats, academics, community leaders, and young professionals on matters relating to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UNAA NT also prioritised youth engagement by supporting student participation in international dialogue programs, leadership initiatives, and policy discussions. Through partnerships with universities, government agencies, and community organisations, the association provided platforms for young people and emerging leaders to build knowledge of international affairs and develop leadership skills aligned with UN values. By fostering informed discussion, encouraging youth participation, and strengthening community awareness of global issues, UNAA NT contributed meaningfully to advancing its mission of connecting the Northern Territory with the work and ideals of the United Nations.
