Townsville Writers and Publishers Centre Inc

We are a writers support Organization and aim to provide support, free mini workshops on relevant writing topics and information to local writers of all genres and abilities to help them meet individual writing and publishing goals. We offer five meetings that include a free mini workshop on relevant writing topics, a writing activity and opportunity for members to read their works and receive positive feedback. Our regular newsletters, and social media platforms provide information on writing matters, such as, relevant upcoming events, competitions, and publishing and skilling opportunities. We support the City Libraries events, festivals, short story writing completion and also attend community events, when available, to promote Townsville Writers and Publishers Centre and give our members an opportunity to perform their works and promote or sell their own published works. We have recently begun to selfpublish small anthologies of members works to help them build a writer's resume, and gain necessary skills to meet guidelines, deadlines and formatting requirements.
