The Story Island Project (Tasmania) Incorporated

In 2024, The Story Island Project ran free creative writing/storytelling programs that offered children and young people personalised attention and assistance with creative writing/storytelling, providing a safe, fun and nurturing environment in which the literary talents of children and young people could be developed and celebrated. Story Island's programs help children and young people build their creative agency (the skills and confidence they need to tell their own stories) as well as their social health and wellbeing. They also help children and young people develop positive relationships as they work closely with Story Island staff, paid guest artists and community volunteers. All Story Island's programs are delivered free of charge in communities vulnerable to experiencing poverty and marginalisation. More: https://storyislandproject.org
