Despite the significant impact of the costofliving crisis causing a drop in donations and a steep increase in feed, fuel, medical care and infrastructure costs, we remained committed to our mission. We continued to rescue, rehabilitate, provide a safe haven for, and rehome (into carefully vetted adoptive families) farmed animals who experienced neglect, abuse, homelessness, or abandonment across the greater Northern NSW and Gold Coast regions and beyond. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we sought to inspire compassion and respect for all living beings. By fostering meaningful connections between people and animals through ethical events, guided tours, social media, and community enrichment (such as NDIS participant programmes) we raised awareness about the realities faced by farmed animals and the importance of animal rights. As a registered charity, we rely entirely on donations to keep our gates open. And we are 100% volunteerrun so we have no staff costs.
