About Presbyterian Care Tasmania Incorporated
Presbyterian Care Tasmania (trading as Olive Road) is a Tasmanian owned and Christian notforprofit organisation committed to building stronger communities through our mission to provide Christian care, kindness and relief for the Tasmanian community and individuals in need, regardless of their belief system . We aim to assist vulnerable Tasmanians to participate in community, live independently and achieve a sense of dignity through the wise and strategic use of our resources and ongoing collaboration with likeminded organisations. We are committed to doing so by providing funding to initiatives that address unmet need, working collectively to achieve genuine and lasting outcomes for the people we and our funding recipients serve. In the Financial Year 2023/2024, we have given funding support to Tasmanian organisations that are: Developing the personal and vocational skills of atrisk students in Clarence Plains through a bike restoration program Running a placebased initiative that seeks to grow a thriving community by harnessing the local passion of residents in the Northern Suburbs of Launceston Providing chaplaincy services in the Midlands and Dorset rural communities to address loneliness and isolation, poor physical or mental health and spiritual wellbeing Running the adjunct Arrowsmith program for children struggling with learning in traditional school settings Providing a safe, therapeutic and welcoming space for women on the journey toward improved mental health Mentoring young people living in out of home care arrangements Building resilient families by assisting to improve the mental, physical and relational health of survivors of family violence Delivering a schoolbased program called Amity to improve the selfesteem, relationships, decision making and resilience of teen girls Offering a food production program to support the provision of food relief to vulnerable Tasmanians whilst providing onthejob accredited training for young people NOTE: all programs listed under 'Programs' are funded by Presbyterian Care Tasmania Inc (trading as Olive Road) each is not delivered directly by the charity
