Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club

The Port Sorell Surf Life Saving Club is one of 15 Surf Life Saving clubs in Tasmania that provide volunteer educational and emergency rescue services to the community. The key pillars of our club include, We have a strong focus on educating children about surf awareness, developing their fitness and water skills, and fostering them to eventually become our next generation of Surf Lifesavers. Beach patrols, provide qualified Surf Life Saver Patrols every weekend and public holiday between 1st of December and 31st March each year, providing our community with First Aid, beach safety and support across the summer. Surf lifesaving patrols are so important in our community and how, even on the most uneventful days someone needs to keep their eyes on the beach. Bringing the community to the beach through events such as the winter solstice swim, opera by the beach and a number of markets / food van events throughout the year.
