North East Tasmania Land Trust Inc

The North East Tasmania Land Trust (NETLT) is a communitybased group that preserves, enhances and protects the natural environment in North East Tasmania. We do this by acquiring and managing areas of high conservation land and promoting conservation of our environment. Our primary work involves land management tasks on the areas of land that we own or have management responsibility for. Work includes wildlife surveys, controlling weeds and general management tasks. We raise funds to cover the costs of this land management as well as acquire and conserve land of ecological value that may become available in the future. Our aim is also to link and manage landscapes and create ecological connections. During the 2024 reporting period NETLT held regular Committee meetings, engaged in general administrative work, and undertook various planning activities. In addition NETLT has finalised the acquisition of a block of high conservation value land in the Binnalong Bay area.
