Kanamaluka Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre Inc.

(a) To limit and eliminate the suffering of native wildlife. This aim has been achieved by continuing practice of high ethical standards including humane euthanasia where necessary. (b) To rehabilitate native wildlife for the purposes of releasing them back to their original environment. This aim has been achieved. We released or transferred 103 native animals post rehabilitation or intervention in the most recent reporting period. (c) To promote compassion, understanding, respect, and responsible and humane treatment towards all animals through the provision of advice, education and information. This aim has been achieved through our ongoing connection with our local community, including school education and learning through interest involvement, acceptance of volunteers through government and organisations and promotion of these values using social media and our online blog. (d) To provide shelter and direct care of abused and homeless domestic animals and injured and orphaned native wildlife. This aim has been achieved. During the reporting period we have accepted and provided direct care for over 200 animals (both domestic and native).
