Friends of the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter Incorporated

Assisted with strategies for rehoming of companion animals from the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter. Advertising on social media platforms, print/radio, poster distribution throughout Wingecarribee Shire. Promoting awareness of the companion animals in care at the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter through public education and sponsorship programs leading to successful rehoming rates. Supporting the Wingecarribee Animal Shelters Alternatives to Euthanasia Policy by paying for veterinary requested food, medicine items and pay for elective surgeries. Transport for companion animals to veterinary referrals and rescue organisations/foster care. Undertaken fundraising activities to assist with ongoing animal welfare strategies and assist Wingecarribee Shire Council with nonstatuory items required for the new animal shelter being built 20232025. Undertake in collobratin with Wingecarribee Shire Council pilot desexing programs for dogs/cats in the Wingecarribee Shire. All activities Friends of the Wingecarribee Animal Shelter undertaken are achieved through philanthropic avenues.
