Eric Joseph Foote War Memorial Sanctuary Association Inc

The purpose of the Association is to advance the natural environment of the Foote Sanctuary in a partnership with Sunshine Coast Council, which holds the title to the land in trust. Association volunteers meet every Thursday to carry out maintenance of assets, weed control and tree planting, to enable visitors to enjoy the natural area and its facilities. Several public events were held to assist the community in enjoyment and understanding the environment and to pay tribute to past servicemen and women in the Remembrance Day ceremony held annually. Donations and fund raising activities, assisted by Sunshine Coast Council grants enable volunteers to carry out improvements to tracks and other facilities, to facilitate safe enjoyment by visitors.
