Core Objectives of the Bhutanese Buddhist and Cultural Centre (BBCC): 1. Provide spiritual services to all Bhutanese community members in Canberra and nearby states 2. Provide pastoral care and services to the community members and all interested devotees. 3. Preserve and promote Bhutanese identity and culture 4. Foster community unity and harmony 5. To build a Bhutanese Temple in Canberra in the near future BBCC provides spiritual and pastoral services to Bhutanese residents in Canberra and nearby NSW towns, aiming to foster community unity, identity, and harmony. These services are also available to other interested individuals. The offerings include private household rituals, organized group teachings and practices, as well as engagement programs for children and elders. BBCC offers weekly Bhutanese language and cultural classes for children along with other programs such as weekly TARA practice and Doenchoe sessions to preserve our unique Bhutanese identity and heritage within the culturally diverse community of the ACT. BBCC provides pastoral services, offering spiritual guidance, counselling, and support to members of the Bhutanese community and other interested devotees. These services include meditation sessions, Dharma teachings, oneonone counselling with qualified Buddhist masters, and the creation of a supportive community environment where individuals can seek guidance and find solace in times of need. BBCC organizes ceremonies, rituals, and other religious practices on important Buddhist and auspicious days according to the Bhutanese religious calendar. These events promote the wellbeing of community members, helping individuals cope with life s challenges and find peace and understanding. BBCC will establish a Bhutanese temple in Canberra, which will serve as a vibrant community Centre for all Bhutanese residents in the area.
