Community impact is a core focus for the Ballarat Foundation. We measure our success by the level of positive impact we create. We do this through: a number of appeals, workplace giving programs and management of donor subfunds to encourage giving and philanthropy; grants to community organisations in Ballarat and surrounding areas to support young people, food and housing security, responses to gendered violence and mental health and in the Wimmera to support health and mental wellbeing outcomes. distribution of Back to School vouchers to ensure some of our most vulnerable families have what their children need for school; support to young drivers to graduate through the L2P program, obtaining a licence, with the guiding help of volunteer mentors; support to the volunteering sector through promotion and building capability of volunteers and organisations who rely on those volunteers; deliver of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, enabling children to build a love of books and reading before starting school; The development and operation of the Ballarat Foundation Giving Hub at Hugh Williamson House, a modern centre for collaboration and social impact delivery in the heart of Ballarat s thriving central business district; community access to the Ballarat Vital Signs, a community pulse check utilising data to provide insights on important social indicators within Ballarat and surrounding regions.
