Ballarat And District Genealogical Society Inc

The aim of our society is to help people from within Australia and overseas discover their family history. We have appropriate records available and give guidance in ways to research and record their history and genealogy. We participate in Historical and Genealogical events. Volunteers help record data from historical documents, providing easy access for the public seeking information. Volunteers assist in the Research Hub at the Eureka Centre and also at the Central Highlands Library and Sebastopol Library with their research program. We also provide funding from grants and our own money for the National Library of Australia to digitise historical Ballarat newspapers.
