During the year to 30 September 2024, Australian Society for Indigenous Languages Incorporated continued to operate programs, services and activities in Australia and TimorLeste including: Train and mentor indigenous translators working in their own languages. Promote literacy in indigenous languages. In conjunction with mothertongue speakers of indigenous languages, translate materials into their languages. Develop and provide access to indigenous language resources in audio, print, and electronic formats. Promote the value and use of indigenous languages. Engage with indigenous communities, churches, and other agencies on issues of relevance to speakers of indigenous languages. Undertake processes of good governance, administration, accountability & compliance.
