1. APPA provides a national voice for all primary school principals through advocacy and support to advance the education and wellbeing of primary school leaders, students and communities. 2. APPA is vitally involved in issues related to principal health and wellbeing, student wellbeing, high quality teaching and learning, initial teacher education, indigenous education, education for students with special needs, educational leadership development, the Australian Curriculum, contemporary national assessment regimes, longterm needs based sector blind school resourcing sustained throughout the Primary years, and building the status of the teaching profession. 3. APPA hosts an annual national conference.
