AGPPA is the peak body of government primary school principals in Australia. The organisation represents over 1.6 million students who attend government primary schools in Australia and over 5,300 primary school leaders. This organisation works in all across all states and territories across Australia. AGPPA provides advice and perspective to government representatives and policy makers in local jurisdictions, nationally and internationally on issues that matter most in government primary education. The work of the organisation positively impacts on the education agenda for primary educators in Australian Government Schools. AGPPA promotes the profession of teaching and school leadership, and government education. The organisation formulates appropriate position statements and documents relating to government primary education and communicates to the wider education community. Our work provides a platform and structure for the exchange of ideas and initiatives relevant to government primary education.
