In late 2023, Ausdance WA received project funds to undertake a rigorous WA dance sector consultation in 2024. Rick Health of PUSH Management was engaged as consultant and the resulting //IN MOTION// report (published June 2024) identifies specific needs for the WA dance sector with key imperatives and priorities to address those needs. Ausdance WA were also successful with Annual Program funding through Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries to continue their efforts to address needs identified in the report, alongside providing best practice professional development and training for teachers of dance in primary, secondary and independent contexts, develop resources to support Child Safety in dance, and support advocacy programs and initiatives to build capacity for the sector. The organisation continued to liaise with the national Ausdance network and a range of stakeholders representing various subsectors of the dance industry.
