Australian Country Hospital Heritage Association Inc.

We operate a Country Hospital Museum which opens daily as part of the Rockhampton Heritage Village. The museum is set up to represent small country hospitals of the early 20th century. However, the museum also includes extensive photographic displays and holds a large number of historical documents and oral history recordings. Each room has an information sheet with key messages for visitors about the significance of the displays, particularly highlighting then and now comparisons for young people. We have a website through which we publicize our collection and respond to queries from the public and produce at least two member newsletters each year.
