ACOSS seeks to reduce poverty and inequality through research, policy development and advocacy. We draw on the direct experience of people affected by poverty and inequality and our diverse membership to inform research and development of socially and economically responsible public policy and action. This is evidenced through activities such as submissions to and appearances at public policy inquiries and consultations, research into poverty and inequality, advocacy campaigns and running conferences, member education and other policy events
