We set the standards for professional education, ethical conduct and practice excellence for social work in Australia. We made submissions to public inquiries, and we advocated directly to decision makers across the whole of the health and community services sectors for improvements to services and programs for vulnerable and marginalised people. In June, the AASW launched the Don t Wait campaign to highlight the essential role of social workers in supporting mental health and wellbeing across Australia. Viewed over two million times, the campaign connected individuals and healthcare providers with real social workers, showcasing their impact in mental health and other critical areas. By reaching new audiences through videos, social media, and partnerships with organisations, the campaign helped demystify social work, encouraging Australians to seek support and raising awareness of referral pathways. This initiative strengthens community mental health resources and affirms the profession's importance nationwide.
