About Australian Association Of Constitutional Law

The Australian Association of Constitutional Law was formed in 1998 as a forum for scholars and practitioners of constitutional law throughout Australia. The Association, through its Council (elected every two years) and State Chapters (appointed by the Council), organises and supports public lectures, seminars and other similar events, both online and in person, to facilitate understanding and discussion of issues arising in Australian constitutional law, and public law and constitutionalism more generally. Principal activities include organising and hosting events and seminars, awarding an annual prize to recognise outstanding scholarship in the field of constitutional law, contributing to the promotion of the study and understanding of constitutional law, and the fostering of professional networks.
