About Australian and New Zealand Society for Immunology Incorporated
We provided significant financial support (awards, grants, bursaries) and other opportunities to our scientific members to advance their careers in the discipline of Immunology research. In addition, we provided networking, collaborative and presentation opportunities through the hosting of our annual conference which is one of the highlights of the year. We supported Early and Mid Career Researchers through the hosting of our Clinical Translation School, our Advanced Immunology School and Regional Branch events through direct learning opportunities, opportunity to foster connections and present their own research work to other Immunologists. Our 7 individual branches and 9 Special Interest Groups also hosted events tailored to their members; these were mostly inperson events but sometimes additionally hosted as a hybrid format, to ensure inclusivity. Major efforts were invested into the ASI Visiting Speaker Program as well as into the furthering of initiatives in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion spaces, such as award funding for childcare arrangements such that caregivers can attend branch meetings and the provision of an onsite childcare facility at our annual scientific conference.
